Founded in 1893 and granted Royal patronage by Queen Victoria, Royal Norwich holds a distinguished place in English golfing history. From its original home in Hellesdon to its contemporary setting on the Weston Estate, the club’s story reflects a legacy built on tradition, excellence, and community.

For more than 130 years, Royal Norwich has welcomed golfers, families, and guests to enjoy exceptional facilities and genuine hospitality. Is The Stables open to non-members?
Yes, Royal Norwich offers expert golf lessons and coaching in Norfolk. Our PGA-qualified professionals provide tailored instruction for beginners through to advanced players, helping you improve your swing, short game, and overall confidence. Coaching sessions can take place on our driving range, short-game areas, or on the course itself. Whether you’re new to golf in Norwich or aiming to refine your performance, Royal Norwich provides lessons designed to help you play your best.
Yes. We have elegant private dining rooms and flexible event spaces that can be tailored for family occasions, corporate gatherings, or celebrations.
Yes. We can host group dining and private celebrations, with tailored menus and dedicated service in our private rooms.
The Stables at Royal Norwich is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, and drinks. From Sunday to Thursday, food is served from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, with the bar open until 5:00 pm. On Fridays and Saturdays, food is served from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, and the bar remains open until 5:30 pm. Extended hours may apply for special events and private functions.
Afternoon tea at The Stables is served on Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 pm to 3:15 pm and must be booked in advance. Indulge in a classic selection of freshly baked scones, homemade cakes, and savoury treats, all served with your choice of fine teas or prosecco.
